I made my graphic design using Paint on our Dell computer. I chose graphic design because I want to let others know about the importance of reading.

First I did the background of my painting so I would not have to worry and freak out. I first made the background a dark red and orange. Then as I developed my piece I decided to change the background to bricks. I made my bricks by using the line tool. Second I did the car.  I Googled pictures of cars so I could look at them while I tried to draw mine. I used several pictures as models and then created my own based off of those cars. I used the circle tool to create the tires on my car. I also used the star tool to add some stars on it. Then I painted my car red with a brush. Next I put in the car windows. I put regular white on the windows. Then I added two blue accents to the window that represent the sun shining into the car. Finally I added the lights and door handles by drawing with a brush then painting them their colors. I decided I wanted flames on my car. First I went to Google to look up flames on cars. Then I found the perfect picture of flames and used that one as a model to create the flames on my car. To put the flames on the back of the car to make it look cool, I used the pencil to draw the flames. Then I filled them in with color. I added an oil can with the pencil under the car . I put oil in the can and dripping off the sides with the cursive brush. Then I added my color to the flames and oil. I wanted to add a road to the bottom of the picture to look like the car was sitting in a parking lot. Next I added people in the picture the girl holding a wrench and a book.the office girl just sitting there looking a the girl fixing the car. I used a brush to draw the girl. Then I added different features to her like her eyes, hair, and bandana. I also added a bluebird at the top of the repair shop door. I used the pencil to draw the bird then a brush to color it in.

I chose to draw a repair shop and connect education to it. The girl and the bird are talking to each other about fixing education. The bird is trying to read a book when he asks “What’s up with reading? It is so boring!” The girl replies to the bird, “That’s how you do things like fixing a car. You have to read to succeed in life.
