January Sharpen the Saw Announcement
Amyah Smith and Summer Sallee
We were asked to create a flyer for our monthly Sharpen the Saw days that students participate in. The is being used to advertise the activities that students can sign up to do for Sharpen the Saw. We used a program called Microsoft Word to create our flyer. First, we changed the background color on the page to a soft blue color, it reminded us of winter colors. Then, we used a free KG Font called, By the Grace of God, to add the title to the flyer “Sharpen the Saw”. We used the free KG/Janda font called Safe and Sound to write the other text on the flyer and Calibri that is already on Microsoft Word. After we got the text done for the top of the flyer, we made activity boxes to put the activities in. We picked the square shape and made them and chose to fill them with white. The outline of the box has a thick dot-dash border. Then, we picked labels for each of the activity boxes. We chose to use thought bubbles because they looked like clouds. In these boxes, we put the 4 areas that Sharpen the Saw represents: Body, Mind, Heart, and Soul. Then, we typed the activities that some teachers have chosen to offer. Finally, we put the date at the bottom that students need to sign up by in order to participate in the activities.
