This post is to inform you of a few strategies to use at home to help your child achieve in school.
1. Have your child to read letters of the alphabet to you whenever they appear in public places. For example, if you are at RIte-Aid ask them to tell you the letters on the building. Ask them to tell you what letters are capitlized. Ask them to tell you what letters are vowels.
2. Have your child to count for you. Put the objects that they are counting in a "scattered" pattern. Put the object in a circular pattern. Reinforce the fact that the last number they say tells them how many is in the group.
3. Give your child an age appropriate chore such as setting the table, folding towels/wash rags, or loading the dishwasher. This teaches them RESPONSIBILITY. This is important for children to learn.
