Fox in the Woods
Using Microsoft Paint, I created this picture called Fox in the Woods. I started with the background. I used a light blue to create the sky and a lighter shade of green to make the ground and grass. I added darker streaks on the grass to show that it had shadows. Next, I made the fox. I started by drawing the fox using a Bamboo Pad rather than using a computer mouse. Once the fox was drawn, I used the bucket tool to fill the shapes and then added darker colors to make the fox look realistic. To make the eyes, I used my teacher's touch screen active board in the classroom. It was easier to shade, zoom in, and add the smamller details to the fox's eyes. I think adding the white to the eyes makes them look like they are sparkling. I made the trees next and added darker colors so that it would look like the tree had shadows. I did the same thing to the fox since the sun is in the background, behind the trees and fox. To make the trees look more realistic, I added details using two different darker greens. To create the bird and bird nest in the tree, I zoomed in so that it would just show that part of the image. I used the Bamboo Pad again and the paint brush tool to draw and shade the bird, eggs, and nest.
